Hand-Made Steel & Walnut Coffee / Side Table

This sturdy table is made using 100mm x 100mm mild-steel tubing, tig-welded and hand-sanded to a ‘brushed steel’ finish. The steel frame is then protected using a clear, matt metal sealant to maintain a natural patina and prevent surface-rusting. 

The table-top section is made from American Walnut. It is hand-sanded from 80-320 grit and then coated with a clear, matt Osmo Poly-X oil. This is a non-greasy hardwood treatment that seals the wood and aids durability. It is stain/mark resistant to most household foods/liquids.

The base of the feet have welded plates which are smoothed to protect floors

As our design style is ‘industrial’, the steel we use in our frames, whilst of the highest quality, may contain minor surface imperfections. We believe that this adds to the style of our work.
